Today we went to Santos: Myself, Jerry, Cole, Mema, Samantha, Dana, Tony and Cooper. We started out at the Santos Trailhead, took Pine Tree, Marshmallow, Canopy and then went over to the Vortex area. During our break an Ambulance came in and picked up a boy who fell on one of the jumps and cut his forehead open. Then we went on the yellow trails towards the Landbridge but we didn’t make it all the way. We rode for about 3 hours today and clocked about 8 miles I’d say. Enjoy the newest pictures!!

The 10 newest pictures from today are from our ride near Orlando, Florida with: Mema, Samantha and myself. We went down to Orlando Wetlands Park in Christmas, Florida. From the map, it looked like there were several bike trail types to choose from but since it took so long to get there we went with the simple trail and the shortest. It’s a very nice park with large picnic areas and plenty of wildlife to see. On our short journey we saw tons of different birds and what looked like a 4 foot alligator. We saw this guy on the trail who proceeded to tell us that just up ahead was a 6-7 foot alligator – that’s when Mema was ready to head back to the car. He said he walked right up to it and it didn’t bother him but Mema was having none of it. That type of trail riding is not my cup of tea but it was pretty out there. Enjoy the newest pictures!!

The newest pictures below will include our group ride from today: Mema, Justin, Holly, Samantha, David, Allison, Jerry, Tony, Cole, Stacy and myself. We started out at the Santos Trailhead this morning so the kids could play around on the new track they built right off the parking lot – very cool!! We rode the yellow trail over to the Vortex area (where the jumps are) to watch Justin try out the new DiamondBack I got him for Christmas. On the way Holly’s bike pedals decided to break so she ended up walking about 1/4 of it. A trip to Santos Bike Shop is needed to fix that. We headed over to the big jump that Justin was flying off of the last time we were here and there was a few guys set up with a tri-pod camera coming off of a cliff basically – you can see his jump on the Videos page – yikes. Enjoy the newest pictures!!

Mema, Justin, Holly, Samantha, David, Dana, Jerry, Cole, Mathew, Brett, Skylar, Terry and I started out at the Santos Trailhead this morning. We rode the yellow trail over to the Vortex area (where the jumps are) and hung out there for a bit watching everyone do tricks, including Justin and Brett, who were going off the 10 ft jump. Check out the pictures below. When we were done Mema and Samantha took the yellow trail back to the trailhead and the rest of us went out the backdoor and took the yellow trail back to the trailhead on this side. The weather was perfect – it was a great day!!

Mema, Justin, Holly and I started out at the Land Bridge Trail head, took the long way to the land bridge, met some nice people walking their dog, some other folks riding horses and then took the short yellow trail back to the parking lot as the weather was getting bad. Some of the people riding horses told us they saw a couple 4-foot rattle snakes on the trail closer to 49th. They said they were right across the fire road. Oh and we also saw a little green snake. The weather was perfect up until the end when it started getting dark and rain was moving in.

I started out at the Land Bridge Trail head today around 10 am. I rode over to the 49th Avenue trail head and waited for Dana, Tony and Mom – they stopped for breakfast. Dana and Mom came over to the 49th trail head and Tony started out at the Land Bridge trail head, but he caught up to us quickly. We rode over to 484 on the limerock road and then on the way back caught the 3rd blue trail on the right. Tony and I got back to the Land Bridge trail head around 3:30, so about 4-5 hours of riding today. The bonus was it was absolutely beautiful outside.

Mema, Dana, Tony, Cole, Jerry, Stacy, Luke (the dog) and I started out today at the 49th Street Trailhead. Luke found a turtle on the trails and you’ll see pictures of Cole holding that turtle below WE also came across the big gulley, which the boys and dog decided to go check out.
